Argonaut-SL
The Argonaut-SL is a 2D side-looking current meter suitable for ports, harbours, platforms, riverbanks and bridge mounting. Three new version of the Argonaut-SL have been introduced by SonTek, the SL3000, SL1500 and SL500. They have been designed to be smaller, sleeker and more powerful than the previous versions. The sampling ranges of the three SL’s vary from 0.1 to 5m for the SL3000, 0.2 to 20m for the 1500 and 1.5 to 120m for the 500. The SL is now able to measure water velocity in channels that it was previously thought impossible.
The SL measures remotely, avoiding flow interference from any surrounding structures and can be used to calculate flow/discharge in rivers. Both close-range and long-range systems are available and on some systems, a third, optional vertical beam is available for stage measurements.
The SL was inspired by the need for a simpleway to measure water velocity and level in open channels, and it has since earned worldwide acceptance as a long-term monitoring solution. The SL comes fully featured with accessories, mounting options, software, and a variety of integration formats and its sleeklow-profile housing makes installation easy. With three models to choose from, the Argonaut-SL can measure any small channels and is truly adaptable for any application.
